PetPass privacy policy

Effective October 14, 2026. PetPass is made by [Shore legal entity name, e.g. Shore AI LLC] (“Shore”, “we”). This policy says what the app stores, where it goes, and what you can do about it.

PetPass keeps your pets’ vaccines, visits and records in one passport. It is built to keep your information on your phone. There is no Shore account, no Shore server that holds your data, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

What the app stores

  • Your pets’ names, breeds, dates of birth and photos as you enter them.
  • Vaccine, visit and medication records you add, including photos or PDFs of vet paperwork you choose to import. Text is read from those documents on your device.
  • Reminders you set.

All of this is stored on your device. If iCloud sync is on, it is also stored in your own iCloud account under Apple’s privacy terms, so it comes back when you reinstall or change phones. We cannot read your iCloud data.

Permissions it may ask for

  • Camera and Photos, to add a pet photo or scan vet paperwork. Files, to import a PDF.

You can grant or revoke any of these at any time in iOS Settings. The app keeps working without them, with that feature turned off.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions are sold through Apple’s App Store and billed to your Apple ID. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active, which gives us an anonymous identifier for your device, the product you bought, and purchase and renewal dates. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details from Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple through your purchase history.

Analytics and advertising

To understand whether the app is working and where new users come from, we may use a privacy-respecting analytics or attribution service that receives an anonymous device identifier and app events such as “opened the app” or “started a trial”. It never receives the content you create in the app. We do not show third-party ads inside PetPass, and we do not share your data with ad networks for targeting. [If you are not using an attribution or analytics SDK, delete this paragraph and say so.]

What we never collect

  • Your contacts, location, or browsing history.
  • The contents of your photos, notes or records, beyond processing them on your device for the feature you chose.
  • Anything from other apps on your phone.

Good to know

PetPass stores records about your pets, not about you. When you share a passport with a vet or another person, it leaves your phone as a file or link you create; we do not see it.

Deleting your data

Delete the app and its data is removed from your phone. To remove the iCloud copy too, open iOS Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Storage, and delete PetPass. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing further for us to delete; if you contact us, we can confirm that.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because your data lives on your device, you can do all of these yourself in the app and in iOS Settings. For anything we do hold (for example a support email you sent us), write to hello@shoreai.io and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you on its next launch and this page will show a new effective date.

This policy is a template drafted for a first release. Before publishing, replace the bracketed items, confirm every SDK the app actually ships with, and have a lawyer check it against the laws where you sell.
