Kick helps you quit nicotine pouches or vaping. It is built to keep your information on your phone. There is no Shore account, no Shore server that holds your data, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
What the app stores
- Your pouch or vape baseline, cost, triggers and goal as you enter them in onboarding.
- Cravings, slips and streaks you log, and conversations with the in-app coach, which runs on your device.
- Reminder settings.
All of this is stored on your device. If iCloud sync is on, it is also stored in your own iCloud account under Apple’s privacy terms, so it comes back when you reinstall or change phones. We cannot read your iCloud data.
Permissions it may ask for
- Notifications, for the reminders you turn on.
You can grant or revoke any of these at any time in iOS Settings. The app keeps working without them, with that feature turned off.
Purchases and subscriptions
Subscriptions are sold through Apple’s App Store and billed to your Apple ID. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active, which gives us an anonymous identifier for your device, the product you bought, and purchase and renewal dates. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details from Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple through your purchase history.
Analytics and advertising
To understand whether the app is working and where new users come from, we may use a privacy-respecting analytics or attribution service that receives an anonymous device identifier and app events such as “opened the app” or “started a trial”. It never receives the content you create in the app. We do not show third-party ads inside Kick, and we do not share your data with ad networks for targeting. [If you are not using an attribution or analytics SDK, delete this paragraph and say so.]
What we never collect
- Your contacts, location, or browsing history.
- The contents of your photos, notes or records, beyond processing them on your device for the feature you chose.
- Anything from other apps on your phone.
Good to know
Kick is a habit-tracking and motivation tool. It is not medical treatment, does not provide nicotine-replacement advice, and does not diagnose or treat addiction or any other condition. If you are struggling, a doctor or pharmacist can help. Kick is made for adults aged 18 and over.
Deleting your data
Delete the app and its data is removed from your phone. To remove the iCloud copy too, open iOS Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Storage, and delete Kick. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing further for us to delete; if you contact us, we can confirm that.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because your data lives on your device, you can do all of these yourself in the app and in iOS Settings. For anything we do hold (for example a support email you sent us), write to hello@shoreai.io and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you on its next launch and this page will show a new effective date.
